On 4th July 2024 ADAS and VCS (Vegetable Consulting Services UK Ltd) hosted a joint demonstration event of the Ecorobotix ARA precision smart sprayer in carrots. The event was well attended including farmers and agronomists, industry representatives and scientific researchers.
The group were split in half and one group had an overview of the Oper8 project by ADAS and some current relevant IPM projects of VCS. The other group had a field demonstration of the Ecorobotix kit in action within the carrot field led by VCS. The sprayer was primed with water and some paper discs were placed in the field around the weeds so the accuracy of the spraying could be observed. The groups then swopped over.
