This popular conference was held at Bohusgården, Uddevalla, Sweden, between the 11th and 12th of January. The conference was hosted by Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and the program had been elaborated together with the Swedish Board of Agriculture, the County Administrative Board in West Sweden, The Housekeeping Society West, and Trials in West Sweden.
A wide selection of experts, both researchers and advisors from different disciplines, contributed with knowledge that can be used to improve education and the advise distributed in West Sweden. The conference attracted about 90 attendants, both farmers, advisors, researchers and company representatives.
“-It was a very good opportunity to present and discuss our results achieved so far in Oper-8 regarding best practices for alternative weed control with farmers and advisors.
Jonas Schön from Swedish Board of Agriculture had before this set the scene by presenting a number of technical solutions for reducing the use of herbicides, that are about to be launched on the market”, says Thomas Börjesson, Agroväst presenting Oper8 at the conference.
